Legalize and regulate sports betting
N.B.A. Commissioner Adam Silver: Allow Gambling on Pro Games.
Regulation is the most important feature in offering a competitive alternative to the illicit, shady, and underground activities of your local bookmaker. Maybe I'm just an antisocial turd, but I find the unregulated bookmakers' odds superior to those offered in loco parentis.

I don't gamble, but I must say that as a child I enjoyed my father's hangout, a small bookie joint in an alley behind the cotton factor's offices, only a hundred yards from the police station. It was really just a hangout, betting was the pretext. The local characters would come in and out, shoot the shit, play cards, cook something on the small stove. I'll take that over a casino any day. I think the androids call it "community".
